Clinic Policies & Procedures
Welcome to our Policies page. Here, you'll find important information about the guidelines and practices we follow to ensure a smooth and professional experience for all our patients.
These policies cover areas such as appointment scheduling, cancellations, payment methods, confidentiality, and more. We encourage you to review this page thoroughly, as adhering to these policies helps us provide you with the highest standard of care and maintain a supportive environment for everyone.

New Patient Process
To begin your journey with us, please send through your referral from your GP.
Once we receive it, a psychiatrist will carefully review your referral to ensure that your needs align with their scope of care.
If your referral is accepted, we will contact you via email with an acceptance letter and detailed information about the next steps.
Please remember to check your email's spam or junk folder to avoid missing any communication from us. We look forward to supporting you on your path to better mental health.

Cancelations
Our cancellation policy requires that clients provide at least 48 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests.
If a client cancels within 48 hours of their scheduled appointment time, they will be charged a fee. In the case of a no-show, the client will be charged 50% of the full price of the appointment.
We understand that emergencies can happen, and we're always willing to work with clients to reschedule appointments whenever possible. However, we ask that clients respect our time and the time of other clients by providing as much notice as possible for any cancellations or rescheduling requests.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a fair and respectful cancellation and no-show policy.

Referrals
All patients are required to have a valid referral from a GP or specialist to access our services.
GP referrals are valid for 12 months, while specialist referrals last 3 months.
To claim Medicare rebates, a current in-date referral is essential.
If appropriate, you may discuss with your GP the option of an indefinite referral, which is valid for 5 years.
While it is the patient's responsibility to ensure their referral is up to date for appointments, our team will do our best to notify you if we notice your referral is due to expire when scheduling future appointments.

Payments
Fees can vary depending on the clinician you see.
As a private practice, payment is required at the time of consultation and can be made via EFTPOS, Visa, or Mastercard.
We will provide a receipt for you to claim your Medicare rebate or, if preferred, our reception staff can submit your claim electronically to Medicare.
To be eligible for a Medicare rebate, you must have a valid referral.
If your appointments will be covered by an insurance company or workers' compensation, we require written confirmation of coverage before the appointment.
Without this confirmation, you will be responsible for payment and will need to seek reimbursement directly.
